Role overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 2+ years of experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, collaborating with developers to resolve issues, and ensuring software releases meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Validate new features and ensure application quality before release.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
- Verify API functionality using tools like Postman.
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
- Work closely with product managers and developers throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and QA sign-off activities.
- Monitor application performance and usability issues.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance software quality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Manual or Automation Testing.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Experience with SQL for database validation.
- Understanding of regression, functional, integration, and UAT testing.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
